Uber Success Stories and My Blog

I’ll be honest here. The thing that pisses me off the most is when people (seemingly) all the time post about how my blog contains no information, how I’m just like Shoemoney now, I don’t post useful information at all, etc. The majority of it comes in emails and comments on blogs.

If you’re a person that says my blog doesn’t contain any good information…you’re simply wrong. I try to not be conceited at all, but my blog probably pushes the limits the most when it comes to giving out information about affiliate marketing. This post was inspired from how the last 7 days have gone. In this past week, I have had 3 individuals IM me saying they’ve been following my blog religiously and implementing every bit of advice I give. These three individuals are now making over $2,000/day, and they attribute almost all of it to the tips they read here. That was an awesome thing to hear and I enjoyed hearing the whole story. One chap even had a 300-400% ROI and will be at $5,000/day by the end of the month. No lies at all, I’m sure each one of the guys would come here and comment to confirm that I’m not lying.

Seriously though, how much do you think one person can write about affiliate marketing? You complain that I have off-topic posts (this is my blog, so deal with it), but do you want me to repeat what I’ve already said before? Let’s think here…what is affiliate marketing…

Not to mention the affiliate marketing guide I put together, as well as the 100+ questions I’m in the middle of answering covering all aspects of affiliate marketing. There’s a ton of other helpful articles that I just don’t feel like posting because none of this is worth my time for the idiots who think there’s nothing to gain from this blog and what I write.

So you’re going to unsubscribe because you disagree with an off-topic post or because you got rick rolled? Awesome I’ll laugh as I still watch my reader count jump up 50-100/day. I post more affiliate marketing information than 99% of the other blogs out there, so have a nice day and the others that are banking on my information will laugh at you too.

P.S. If you have a success story, email it to me paul [at] uberaffiliate [dot] com. I love hearing about them all the time and if you write up a little paragraph I’ll post it on the blog.

Yeah Paul. I’ll have to agree with you on that one there. It seems to me that a lot of people give you crap when you are very generous yourself. You should be makin a lot more money with this kind of blog but you choose not to. I appreciate your work sincerely and when I get a chance to, I will definitely start my own affiliate marketing. I am reading lots right now and raising some funds :) But I wanted to personally thank you for your site and everything you do on here. It means a lot to me :)

dude, ignore the haters especially douche bags like nickycakes! I am almost twice your age and have only in the last few years learned how to ignore the bs that flies around you. I don’t ignore it all the time but it is a process. So don’t take it personally many people hate to see someone else doing well.

I’ll second fred’s comment. Ignore the haters. They can f**k off if they don’t like the content.

Paul, you’re an inspiration. Just do what you do, and help us while you can with your experience when you can.

Paul this is the best affiliate blog period! All the flamers are talking shit to get attention. Leaving this blog is like throwing money out the window. So keep doing what you do and pump out more videos (this will save you time and people love them)

    Hi Paul,
i found your blog about a week ago and have been very impressed with the content you provide. I even read your blog all the way back to the start!

When you are dealing with a large number of people, you are never going to please everyone. All you need to do is please yourself…

Dude, I’ve never complained, but, this post was a bitch session. ZERO QUALITY!

If people want to follow your advice they will. Please tell me what value this post brought to my daily activity in affiliate marketing.

Get off the juice. Just continue to post content. Not “he said, she said,….” Jesus!

Don’t sweat that crap. You have hands down one of the most informative blogs out there. It’s at the top of my list. You, Chad, and Jonathan Volk are my 3 favorites. As you know, I have even IM’d you personally to say thanks for helping me get where I am today.

I will call you out on the retarded stuff with John Chow lately though, from the “stolen” video to the rick roll posting on each others sites, a little gay and pointless. Just calling it how I see it. Hey at least you aren’t whoring out reviews for products and crap you never use and don’t have a clue about like some “Super Affiliate Smucks” do on their blog… That’s the worst.

Keep up the good work. Your affilaite marketing guide is absolutely filled with valuable info and I still come back to it to refresh my memory every now and then even though i know everything in it already…. Great stuff man. Keep it up.

  11. April 3, 2008

“Please tell me what value this post brought to my daily activity in affiliate marketing.”

None. This is a personal blog too and I can post about whatever is on my mind, and this happened to be on my mind.

  12. April 3, 2008

i like your blog, one of the 3 i subscribe to. i think you need to just talk shit on your blog more. call some other bloggers out. that shit’s fun to read.

That’s it!!! I’m unsubscribing for the third time!! You’ve lost your most valuable reader now. I’m going to take my feed reader elsewhere. Somewhere that I can find useless, boring posts like those that you’d find on seobook seonews seomoz and a million other websites about making money that are still stuck in that sleazy salesman mode of blogging. They’re like danoz direct midday television marketers.. They hype their product up to hell yet ignore all the information that really matters. They go on and on about things that don’t really matter to you, just to make themselves sound professional and worth listening to. Fags.

  14. April 3, 2008

Just cuz they unsubscribe dont mean they dont come back to read. Dont sweat the negative stuff man, it comes with the territory. People are reading and your traffic just keeps going up. The people that are bitching now just show the negative sides to them. Maybe they cant come to terms from taking advice from a 19-20 year old man. At least those making more money now from reading your content “get the big picture”. People are not thinking clearly what a priviledge it is to see someone at your age in this industry doing so well AND taking the time out of your day to write helpful ideas and maybe kickback a little bit and let everyone know your not a robot.

Anyway, good stuff Paul, keep going!

  15. April 3, 2008

Yes, in the past you have made a few decent posts with good information, which is why I started reading your blog in the first place. Hell, your original facebook post was what inspired me to get to where I am today stackin dollars like tony montana. However, recently your blog has blown giant donkey balls when it comes to content. It’s either some gay linkbait with john chow, bragging about your earnings, 6 part “i’m too lazy to come up with original ideas” q&a sessions, or whine-then-brag posts like this one. Pro tip: If you improve your content then people might stop calling you Chowmoney Jr. on IRC all day and you won’t get laughed off wickedfire as much. Otherwise, you might as well whip out that webcam and start recording what you had for dinner every night and posting that.

Paul’s blog is the real deal. I’ve implemented some things I’ve read here and had a lot of success. Of course I could have eventually discovered a lot of it on my own through trial and error but all the info was already there. It saved me from making some costly mistakes. Thanks again.

  18. April 3, 2008

    Hey Paul,

Hmm, I think the main reason I’ve been pissed off about a few of your recent posts is because I’ve come to expect so much from all your posts. You’re right. You do have one of the best, if not thee, best affiliate marketing blogs. It’s a ‘what have you done for me lately?!’ attitude around here I guess. Ruck is right, I unsubscribed after that evil taxes post, but I was still checkin out the site. ha.
Hope you feel like writing some more kick ass aff marketing stuff soon. like that ‘how much to invest’ post. good shit.

  20. April 3, 2008

I read your blog Paul. And in the beginning it was great but I imagine you feel you’ve said everything there is to say about ppc. I don’t know. One thing I could suggest is try and stay out of the internet gossip circles with shoe and chow they’ll drag you down every time. I believe you’re a bright guy that has had some success online and I admire that you’ve shared what you have. But the fatal flaw I see people make time and time again is trying to put a post up everyday when honestly they have nothing to say. It’s ok to not say anything at all for a couple days sometimes that’s the best idea of all. Just as an example diorex’s blog was followed greatly and he posted rarely if ever. However when he did it was a good one and the talk of the town. Really I don’t know what your outcome is for this sites make money on advertising, gather groupies, sell crap to n00bs or honestly give back to the community without desiring anything in return. Maybe people see it as one of those outcomes and posting certain things contrasts the view that they have. I used to read Ahmit the super douche bags blog for a while but man did it go downhill fast Please don’t suffer his fate.

here is an idea, stfu! if you don’t like it you don’t have to read it, if you want to bitch about his content look at your own craptastic blog, you suck you are full of shit, you no balling bitch!
I would not brag that you are a part of wickedfire, what has been contributed there that has brought any real tangible value to anything? all that is there is people like you who seem more concerned about what others are doing.
by the way since you say you are making 100k plus a month not the 10k on your blog prove it! don’t show a screen shot, have someone actually see what you are doing. otherwise I repeat, stfu!

  25. April 4, 2008

Paul, what you’re doing with your blog is damn brilliant. Just ignore the people who are looking for get rich quick guides. They aint paying for anything, anyhow – so why should you give it to ’em?

Fact is you DO. Keep doing what you’re doing, ignore anything anyone else says, get yourself some bliddy good connections with the likes of Chow and goodness knows who else and do whatever the heck you wanna do. Stop buggering yourself about the scrounging blog readers. Post when you want, what you want. You control your posting schedule.

  26. April 4, 2008

Oh shutup nickycakes. “in the past you have made a few decent posts with good information” – I have no damn idea why I’m even bothering to reply to you. As for “bragging about his earnings”, incase you don’t remember… it was the BLOG READERS who 1) asked Paul to do it… 2) voited for Paul to do it and 3) bullied Paul till he did it. As for the Q&A sessions, at least he’s ANSWERING THE ACTUAL QUESTIONS PEOPLE HAVE and not writing about John Chow videos. Sheesh!

  27. April 4, 2008

Ignore the douchebags – it is YOUR blog and looks like there are 2,000 people that read your posts daily, minimum… not counting the lurkers (like yours truly). If they do not like it, they can leave.

You have gone off topic in recent times but it was still useful – I learned quite a bit from the Q&A sessions.

The main thing your blog did for me is made me realize how much money can be made by doing AM. If you keep posing quality content people will keep reading your blog. Maybe you can give some more information about landing pages. I think a lot of people are losing a lot of money because of bad landing pages.
The signal from most readers is; keep posting content less BS.

There’s always going to be a bunch of people who will simply want you to give them all the information. Don’t let them get to you.

Those are the lazy ones who can’t put pieces together. You dish out a lot of great tips on here. They just want a list of your keywords and websites.

  34. April 4, 2008

Ive followed your blog for the past few months, And read through your archives aswell. I dont get why people complain about this shit – do they really have to read it, afterall – its a blog.. And why anyone should get uppity about it is beyond me.

don’t worry about the lamers, just keep doing what you do best and keep posting great content. Just ignore them, this will irritate them the most because they want you to respond to their lame useless comments. I find your blog very informative and at the same time entertaining. keep at it!

    Hey bro,

Why do you bother? Most of the time you’ll see that this folks are complaining coz they are losers like RJ would say, lol.

They don’t even have a site, where they can show their reputation, skills and knowledge.

    So DON’T BOTHER :-).

And bro, pls. remove that freakin dollar sign from that newsletter box.

    PLEASE.

getting ‘bullied’ into making brag posts seems to be a pretty common theme around here

  38. April 4, 2008

    Hey Paul,

Ignore the idiots. I’ve enjoyed your affiliate marketing posts and your off topic posts. It’s good to have off topic posts every so often. Keeps me coming back. With the off topic posts we get to learn a little more about you other than just your aff marketing side.

Keep up the good work. I”m hoping to get into the business and your posts are certainly filled with useful information…

    Paul,

Here’s the reason people bitch about your blog:

You give outstanding hands-on tactical advice they can use immediately to better their campaigns. This advice is priceless.

But it’s also addicting. Once you start feeding people, they don’t ever get full. They want more and more and more. It’s human nature, but also short-sighted and immature.

So to all of you that think you’re going to be successful simply by reading UberAffiliate – you should really think again… use Pauls advice, but start thinking for yourselves!

    Paul,

If I have been one of those persons, please accept my apology. A lot of us (definitly me) have become lazy and used to blogs spoon feeding us information as if we deserved it. You have giving out some good stuff. That does not mean you should do it all the time. Perhaps a post about marketing for every 5 you put up. I don’t even have a blog, so what the hell am I talking about. Thanks for everything.

PS I really did not like the John Chow Video.

when someone is so successfully always have trolls around him, just write everything you like it, even off topic, the life is to enjoy, and try to ignore trolls :)
there is a blog of Latin guy called Martin Varsavsky who has like 500 millions, and almost everyday a lot people write hate comment about him, but this is the price to be Top, and he just ignore thats post even he doesn’t bother in reply them.

  44. April 4, 2008

Why are you guys bashing Nicky? He’s a reader and has the right to spill his brains here – besides, I for one would stop reading if all I hear are ‘great post’, ‘great post’, rah rah rah. Constructive comments should be welcomed, I’m not confirming nor denying that Nicky provides them, but we are supposed to live in the land of free speech, right?

I like a blog which has fresh daily content so when there’s no new quality content to write about, answering questions is a good way to fill the void. However, most of your answers are ‘depends’ type and that is not useful. Of course ‘depends’ is right answer, I’m not debating that but provide examples.

Perhaps you can start a new series -“journal of an uber affiliate” where you can describe how you show us from start to finish on a new campaign. Keep your secrets of course but just your methods and your thought process.

  45. April 4, 2008

Look at all the affiliate marketing posts I made since last month…quite a few.

No clown,… it’s called proof. You CLAIM to make $xxx, xxx, but at least guys like Paul prove their claims. Like I told you before, you are a wicked fire sheep/lemming and a serious salt throwing hater.

  48. Jack
    April 4, 2008

I do think you post a lot of information, most of it useful. I have disagreements with some of it, but I think its good to read a variety of ideas and philosophies to stimulate strategy.

  49. April 4, 2008

Just so you know Paul in no way was I meaning to bash you. Just give you some friendly advice. What’s funny is to read all the n00bs with their rah rah stuff. Here’s the thing guys stop and imagine yourself for a second as great musician, then Jimmy Hendrix comes up to you and says hey you could use some work here or there. At the same time you have millions of fans screaming how great you are and think you’re the best in the world. Who do you listen to?

Constructive criticism is the best thing anyone can offer someone in my opinion. If they just don’t care they don’t say anything. But if someone takes the time to comment and mention that things they think would make the blog better it just means they have put enough thought into it to care. The you’re great crap is lame in my opinion. If you really want to say that he’s great rather then just being followers actually say how you’ve used the ideas and how they’ve helped you or made you money. “Uber I tried xyz and made money doing this I really appreciate everything out post, could you post more abc”

Haters (like roaches) will always exist. You have a great blog and it’s one of the few I actually look forward to reading regularly.

Theres and old saying, “the best way to avoid criticism is to do nothing.” You know you’re on the right track when the haters start showing up.
    Keep up the good work.
