The more and more I get into blogging, the more it fascinates me. Monetizing thoughts is such a beautiful thing haha. In my current delight of blogging, I’ve been increasingly interested in driving social network traffic to my blog. This is something I’ve been thinking a lot about over the past 3 weeks or so. One of the social networking applications I’ve found strangely addicting is Twitter. If you don’t know what Twitter is, it’s basically the medium between blogging and IM’ing. Whenever I’m doing something and feel like Tweeting it, I’ll just go in and post the small message saying what I’m doing.
I always thought it was pointless, but it is an interesting way to network and meet other people. So join Twitter and Follow Me. I’ll follow you back and hopefully we’ll chat about random things.

Twitter is certainly awesome - and ridiculously addicting.
I assume we’re going to hear some live microblogging while you attend affiliate conventions?

Hi Paul,
You have misspelling in your feed address, it should be: https://twitter.com/uberaffiliate without the .com at the end

Hummm… some hottie gave me her twitter address ( http://twitter.com/widgets_gadgets ), but I never could figure out what to do with it…
Seriously though, I guess I could be considered the “Voyeur” type Twitter user. I’ll usually browse what other people are doing, but I’m not one to update it. Maybe I should…

Twitter is dangerously addictive, there’s no doubt … and at first glance it would seem that no one actually gets anything done if they twitter all day long … but the truth is, these are the people that are getting MORE done than 99% of entrepreneurs … and Twitter keeps us on top of all the action!

what exactly can you do on there? can someone promote anything there or is the networking cooler there than on myspace and facebook and shits? Just wanna know why it is so much addictive cos everybody been talking about it so much. I just wanna know the benefits!

I love Twitter. Some things aren’t worthy of a blog post, but are still interesting. Twitter fills that gap nicely.
If you don’t understand the value of Twitter watch this video:

You could show your twitter messages in your blog’s sidebar. There should be some WP plugin for it.

I find Twitter to be the best tool when I am at a conference. It is an easy way to communicate with other attendees. I can find out where everyone is going after the conference, where the industry events are and I often see contest on there while I am at events.

What you want to look at is friendfeed.com, this is giving life back to the whole micro blogging socialize scene. It basically allows you to add all the places you got an account/or not in fact, and let people follow you. This includes Twitter, Pownce, youtube, blogs, and a whole bunch of areas. So if I favourite a video at youtube, boom it gets tracked. If I message on twitter it not only shows up on friendfeed but I can reply on there at it submits back to friendfeed and twitter.
