Top Affiliate Challenge Genius

  • 40 Comments... Have your say!

Sorry to make 2 posts in a row about the same garbage, but I LOL’d when I watched the 3rd Episode of the Top Affiliate Challenge. Jon Van Clute is bragging on how he gets 200,000 targeted visitors at a $2CPM, and then for those “uneducated” affiliates out there, the Top Affiliate Challenge shows us the math in calculating how much Van Clute spends.

They’re real geniuses, great affiliatez math sk1llz!

haaha! nice. you just love those guys, don’t you!

    • DamnSmiley

      • DamnSmiley

oh i forgot same thing applies to nickycakes cos he is in love with paul thats why he talks about paul so much….fuckers! lol :D

  2. wesley

Let’s not forget, Jonathan van clute is NET PROFITABLE!! Take that!

    • SUP3RNOVA

      Good call!

He’s definitely an uber affiliate becausehe’s NET PROFITABLE.

  3. John

    Garbage….complete garbage.

They’re all a bunch of big nerds. The worst is John Chow lol. He doesn’t even say anything and totally comes across as a weirdo. Ians cool though.

Again, the only thing worth watching is that hot host…but if she just spoke like a human being, she’d be a much better host.

  4. Vlad from FreshRevision

Hahaha… i love watching the show because its SO bad that its entertaining.

  5. wesley

Episode 4 is alreayd online, but I haven’t watched it yet:

    http://www.topaffiliatechallenge.com/episode_4.php

I also love that big banner in the top right corner the entire time, covering up the heads at the most annoying of times.

    • Moneybites

Yeah, I agree, I don’t get why they have that there…

  6. wesley

Ok so I watched the first 5 minutes but it’s impossible to watch as it’s so slow.

This is insanely funny, the challenge now is that they have to review the hotel they are in and link to it’s website fom as many blogs and hotel review sites as possible. Wow, I hire Indians to do this for me, they hire “top affiliates” to do it for them. Ingenious :)

    • DamnSmiley

just a cute way to generate buzz in the affiliate world although they are getting it since the super affiliates are involved so who is to be blamed? ME!!! lol

  7. Toki

where did the find these people? they all look so uncomfortable and seem to be acting fake…

  8. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha what a joke

  9. Miguel

Wanna know my favorite part? I just LOVE how they mixed a real
marketer (Ken McArthur) with two high-profile blogosphere darlings.

Of course, Ken is kicking everyone’s ass with real-world marketing
techniques and knowledge… I think Chow and Shoemoney are just
    oblivious about what’s hitting them.

    LMAO

  10. Rhen

    LOL!!!!

  11. meethere

    lol, thats true man.
    they are not top. :D

  12. Jeff

McArthur, Shoemoney and Chow have REALLY damaged their credibility here… why anyone would listen to them about making money after this is a real mystery.

  13. Protos

Well, you all need to take Math 100 one more time. If 1K visitor costs 2 USD, 200K will be $400. There are 13 comments so far. I am the first one recognizing it. I really wonder how you all keep your stats. finances and stay profitable in the competitive affiliate marketing arena.

    • Jeff

I think that was the point of the post… no one really needed to actually do the math, but bravo.

    • Moneybites

That was the point of Paul posting this…. no one needed to point it out..

    • Neil

You my friend need to take reading 101.

    • Affiliate Marketing

      I hope you’re kidding…

  14. Revvenue

I like the little look Van Clute gives as he sneers off the screen after giving his little presentation, LOL!

  15. Marco

Yet we are all still watching it!

    • David Goecke

why are we indulging in something that is sooo bad

  16. Aaron Falloon

I can’t believe I didn’t notice that. Such an incredibly basic mistake, which shouldn’t have been made. I’ll admit that I like the idea behind the show and think it’s good in parts, but it really lets itself down in some major areas.

  17. Marco

The funniest thing I have seen on the show yet is the episode 4 elimination round where every member of John Chows team wanted to be the one who was eliminated from the contest.

They are desperate to leave the sinking ship that is ‘Top Affiliate Challenge’

    • Moneybites

I think the point is they are disappointed with the show (like so many others) and don’t want their name associated with it any more..

  18. Niche Affiliate Marketing

I didn’t watch any episods. After reading bad reviews about the show, I’m scared to watch them even for entertaining purpose.

    Am I missing anything?

  19. Patrick

That female host is like a friggin’ robot!

    • David Goecke

dang, i know. she is really really annoying.

  20. Hustle Strategy

I need to catch up on these and see if there is anything of value in them.

  21. Affiliate Marketing

I did catch this and was laughing. :)

    Nice post.

  22. Jay

LOL! Paul, damn, you got me rollin’ with these posts man lol!

    Jay

    • David Goecke

hahaha, he always gets me rolling with them too =D

  23. syns0r

    Paul,
Are you secretly endorsing the TAC, I noticed they said your blog and click consultants in today’s episode with the list of top 20 sites for affiliate marketing, they didn’t mention the DP forums which was very strange.

  24. Wade

Well that is $.001 per visitor, but spending $200 on traffic is just stupid. Now if he does make up for it with adsense, affiliate offers on his site, and paid advertising, then it would pay off. I would pay $1,000 a month on traffic if I could make $3,000 a month off of it. I guess it is trial and error and depends on the site. Paul, Mr Money Bags, test it out and see if it helps :D
