Anybody get one? I don’t really keep up with news that much and didn’t find out that they were open for registration until about 16 hours after the fact. Still I grabbed a few domains and will probably do nothing with them. Some of the ones I got :

Just fun to play around with I guess, but the minimum 2 year signing at $20 is kind of ghetto, ended up spending ~$500.
yea I only got one - and gon to use it for one purpose - since I got a really good 1 word domain. I mean there really is a lot of hype on the first day but what hppens on the second day? I am still waiting for friggin godaddy to give me my hosting package cause I cant use any other host - beat!
Why dont you use your own hosting? I’m using MT with mine…
Let us know if you get to keep them all. Most of the complaints that were written about yesterday were because GoDaddy accepted the payment and then took them away afterwards.

I had registered pizza.me in the initial landrush but had it stolen off me after some guy in Israel apparently registered it as a trademark! Be interested in what pops up on that domain in the future.
I did manage to get, and keep hold of tshirt.me though, might have some fun with that one.
I think the domains are way hyped up, and personally I don’t think most of them would be worth anything.
You are right. All the sheeple think that they are worth something because they look cool. These are the same as .biz, .name, .info. No type in traffic, no seo benefit, and negative effects on branding all for 2x the cost of a .com. What a steal!

If you can get a good .me domain with one of the keywords you are using, this may be a good bet, idk about re-sale value, I don’t know much about domaining myself, although I’d think the $40 investment for a good keyword rich do main would be a worthwhile investment. ,

I don’t think they are all a waste..if you grabbed domains like sex.me and those three and four word domains, you will be able to flip that down the road for a good profit, maybe even now.

We will see if they get any respect. They are too expensive though. Was going to get an info domain for .99 cents from godaddy, but then you gotta pay almost $9 for private registration. Or else the whole world knows where I live.. Not a smart idea when you have a family.
