Adwords Keyword Tool Now Includes Search Volume

(19) Comments... Have Your Say! ~ July 15th, 2008

Not going to just repeat ‘ol Google, so just check it here.

Now you can see an approximate search volume chart from Google herself. I compared this to the SEO Book Keyword Tool volume indicator, which pulls from WordTracker. I did a search for “dogs”…here are the monthly volumes :

Google - 1,000,000 searches
WordTracker - 793,259 searches

Fairly close results (I did the exact match option in Google and I’m guessing that’s what WT does).

Pretty close but WT uses other metacrawlers while google uses their own services for this. I think its better to stick with google when you’re optimizing for G only ;)

I saw this a few days ago and have already utilized it several times. It is great to be able to see this data.

The exact match numbers are very accurate. I have a few sites that rank # 1 - # 3 for my targeted keywords and the numbers on that exact match are pretty much exactly what I see coming in. Very helpful and best of all free.

Those results are mathematically no where near “fairly close”. You continue to be a clown, lulz. Just busting on ya, where ya been? Your writing over here less and less too much time in the forum?

It is a small improvement. I guess it helps you see the traffic pattern, but really is useless.

This is big news. I ended up picking up some nice .com domains after realizing they were exact keyword matches for popular keywords.
