April Charity Donation

New CCT Rules at The Bottom, Read ‘Em!

Well today is Charity Check Tuesday (yeah yeah I know it’s late), and unfortunately I ran out of checks to post hah. I guess most people weren’t digging the idea too much of writing checks to me and not the charity, but a huge thanks to those who contributed. As by popular demand, the proceeds this month are going to the Children’s Hunger Fund.

In total we raised $275 in donations, and I’m going to match that to make the total charity check $550. Every dollar helps and it’s awesome that we were able to raise that much in a month.

I guess we’ll change pace a little bit here with the way this is formed. I still want to do CCT as it’s for a good cause and gives you guys some publicity. In that light, here are the new rules for the game :

a) You write the check to whatever charity you want to give to. You send me the check, I post a picture about it, write about you and give your site some link love. I send it to the charity (and even pay for the postage, now can ya beat that? lol).

That’s it. This way you’re not writing checks to me, so if you thought I was going to be evil and steal all the money – I couldn’t anyways. So pick whatever charity you want and send me those checks! I’ll just post them as I get them, so I may not be posting one every week. Thanks in advance if you do send a check, and send it to :

Good idea. Hopefully this picks up donations.

  2. Paul, what you are doing is very generous. Hopefully I’ll be able to contribute in the future.

  3. Collin LaHay says:

I actually just mailed you a check yesterday morning, so it is addressed to your name.

You may do the honors of choosing a charity to give it to. :-)

    Hey Paul,

I’m considering doing the walk for hunger (Boston) in a couple weeks, if I do, how about you donate and help sponsor me. :-P

I don’t know where to start!? We should come up with some sort of a list of places that we can write checks to.

  6. Where’s that hot little girlfriend of yours. Isn’t she supposed to be modeling the checks for you?

  7. Eric DeLabar says:

Well done Paul, not that I didn’t trust you, but personally if I’m going to donate to charity I’d like to take the tax implications myself. I’ll definitely keep you in mind for my next donation!

  8. SUP3RNOVA says:

You say that like I took them as tax benefits…

I claim the checks as income.

  9. Personally I don’t have a problem with that. But just a little question, cause I’m curious. I might not knowing the rules, because I live in Israel, so don’t take it personally.

You said that you have an S-Corp, and if you write it as Income, it should be an income of your S-Corp. However, the check is written on your name, so is it possible for you to write it as an Expense ?

Just a question out of curiousity.

  10. Hey Paul buddy,

What’s the minimal check acceptance? Like 100 bucks or?

    Thnx,
    Hrvoje

  11. It would be cool to see the checks after they have cleared… Anyone can write a check. Just showing a little hate before someone else beats me to it. X(

That is very generous. It is awesome to see you my age, very successful, and giving back to people in need. Especially children! Thank you for being a good person.

  13. Can we send another check?! Hahahaha :D

  14. SUP3RNOVA says:

  15. SUP3RNOVA says:

You should have some checks made for you with like Uber Affiliate written on it, and your logo. Your check looks pretty girly. Nice donation though. You are gonna have to do better than that to compete :D Like holding a contest saying you will match up to 1,000. per person. Im sure it couldn’t cost for than one months azoogle check.
